On the booking calendar choose from the different dig options:
- Searle Canyon Red Beryl & Topaz Mine (1/2 mile round trip intermediate hike is required! Not recommended for those who have trouble hiking.)
- Solar Wind Bixbyite & Pink Topaz Mine (Can park close to digging area. Very easy minimal to no hike required.)
- Maynard’s Topaz & Red Beryl Mine (Can park close to digging area. Very easy minimal to no hike required.) Good for those who want to dig Red Beryl, but can’t take an advanced hike.
- Durangite & Cassiterite Mine (Intermediate ¾ mile round trip hike required.)
- Foxhole Geode Mine (Can park close to digging area. Very easy minimal to no hike required.)
- EXTRA: Combo-Pass Multiple Mines (Same Day or Consecutive Days)
Can be easy to strenuous depending on how you would like to dig. We can supply you material to screen if needed or you can work your own area(s). Note Some Active Mine Sections are noted and off limits to digging.

- We help you though the whole process and educate you on the minerals and geology.
- Choose your experience: Can be easy to strenuous (your choice).
Hours: Single Mine (9am – 3pm) | Two Mine Tour (9am – 5pm) approx 40 minute drive between mines.
Tools: Hammer, Chisel, Screwdriver, Bucket, Small Container (recommended). We have tool rental if needed.
Vehicle: 4×4 or AWD with at least 8 inches of clearance highly recommended. Shuttle booking available below if needed. Call and confirm!
Food & Drink: Please bring all food and EXTRA drink. It is the desert and be prepared.
Accommodation: Closest town is Delta Utah (1+ hour away) for Food, Lodging and Campgrounds. Primitive (no service) camping at multiple sites near the mine.
Restroom: Camp toilet and privacy tent are setup at both mine’s parking area(s). No onsite facilities up at red beryl hike dig site.
